Rucksack Cellars – For many traveling down Carson road or Hwy 50, they’ve been watching the progress of El Dorado County’s newest winery, Rucksack Cellars. What was once the Holly Grove Tree Farm has been transformed into Rucksack Cellars in just three short years. The owners (Paul and Maggie) purchased the old farm in 2013 and have now turned it into a comfortable cozy outdoor tasting room so visitors can experience the beauty of El Dorado County to the fullest. Comfortable and worn, a rucksack embodies our desire to discover life away from the ordinary. It is with this same spirit of discovery that we produce our wines, each an expression of the varied climate and soils of the Sierra Foothills appellation. www.rucksackcellars.com
Boeger Winery – Has been around for 45 years. Most wineries have a few wines on a list, Boeger has been known to carry up to fifteen wine varietals at a time. Not by lack of focus of course, but because they can!
Madrona Vineyards – Madrona’s exceptional mountain elevation vineyards offer perfect growing conditions for the wide range of Rhone and Bordeaux varietals they grow. Well-drained soil and mild temperatures throughout the year produce grapes with mild acidity and optimal maturity. This distinctive fruit creates the perfect foundation for our unique family of estate grown and bottled wines.
We’ll be back on the bus in time to return to the Marriott parking lot by 4pm. Bus transportation is included with your ticket price.
